Tale 1 - Who Runs the World

For those that don't know, four years ago  I resigned as a Deputy Headteacher to become a house husband. 

It has been very eventful four years!! I have slowly turned into my grandma, more interested in prices at Lidl and the state of Niamhs bedroom than GCSE pass rates and attendance levels!

However, I can't deny the four years have been enjoyable and very very funny.

Yesterday, I was taking the children to school. We always have the radio on for the Sassy Princess (Niamh) who is continually throwing shapes wherever we go.

All of a sudden there is a sharp shriek from the Sassy Princess. Beyonce and "Who runs the World" comes on the radio.

The Sassy Princess becomes more animated and screams "Girls" every time the song demands.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Tales (Harry) shakes his head and looks at me with pity in his eyes.

“She has no idea does she dad”

I look at the Prince of Tales. The eternal battle of the sexes between a brother and sister I thought . I look at him and smile.

As I do, he leans over and says "Everyone knows God runs the world."

For a moment, I was going to try and have a  conversation with him about his thoughts. However, his eyes were so certain God had got his back who was I to argue.

I nodded at the Prince of Tales who smiled knowingly. A smile that suggested he  knew he was going to heaven, and he would have to have a word with the big man to get the stupid Sassy Princess in.
